Fan Art

During the pandemic, I was introduced to k-pop music, in particularly BTS, and combined my appreciation for them with my interest in art. It started with my 100 day art challenge with my friend on @sheilaaa_thoughts where we post a drawing we made each day. As I struggled to find what to draw and set goals, I thought of drawing my idol at the time, BTS. I wanted to learn how to draw portraits, something I never had the chance to try in previous art classes. This started a new journey for me, where I explored how to draw different styles of art, connected with other fan art artists on Instagram and took inspirations from their styles to come up with new ways of drawing. From June 2020 to April 2022, I posted a total of 42 art pieces including portraits and studies of hands and different facial parts on @sheilaaa_fanart. It was journey full of rewarding memories and a turning point in my development of art styles.
